A Change of Heart

Does life feel out of control, busy, chaotic? Do you feel trapped in a life you never imagined or dreamed of? Do you feel crushed under an overwhelming weight of stress and anxiety? Do you know Jesus holds the key to a “life in all its fullness”, but you feel helpless to CHANGE your present? If any of that comes close to describing your life then hear these words of Jesus.

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me – watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” Matthew 11:28-30 (The Message)

As followers of Jesus we can often feel that if we admit to struggling in life, we have somehow failed to live up to what is “expected” of us as a “Christian”. But those expectations are never imposed on us from God. They are almost always created by ourselves, or those around us.

If you ever stop to ask yourself, “How much longer can I live like this? Is there a better way?”, then know that the answer is a resounding “YES, THERE IS ANOTHER WAY.”

This book is the story, struggle and experience of one such “follower”. It is a collection of thoughts, practices and learned wisdom, gained over a continuing journey of discovering what Jesus’ call to “Follow Me” really means. This book is a compass, pointing towards the only ONE who can truly transform our lives and hearts. It offers practical advice on how we can partner with God to CHANGE our lives, moving away from the Chaotic and “out of control” life to one of peace, joy and fullness.

“A Change of Heart” will encourage you to re-fix your eyes on Jesus. Offering helpful thoughts, and practical ideas, this book will help you to embrace CHANGE and build your life around God, the One who has the power to transform, not only your life, but your heart. This book is a compass, a helpful tool, as you navigate your life. It serves to constantly point you towards the One who longs for you to turn to Him, the One who desires to walk this journey with you, and the only One who will lead you into “life in all its fullness”, as you determine to build your life around Jesus.

If we begin to understand the call of Jesus to “Follow Me”, we discover that “life in all its fullness” is available to us as we build our lives around Him.
