Guided Walks on Dartmoor Cancellation Policy
If we need to cancel or postpone a walk
Weather can be unpredictable on Dartmoor and weather forecasts are not always reliable. The majority of our walks will go ahead come rain or shine. However, if there are strong winds, storm warnings or fog warnings which would make the conditions dangerous or extremely unpleasant, then we may need to postpone a walk to ensure everyone’s safety. Snow can be another factor on Dartmoor, so if thick snow is forecast or has fallen making travel difficult we may also need to postpone a walk for obvious safety reasons. We will let you know of any decision to postpone as early as we can, normally 12-24 hours before the walk.
If we need to postpone we will issue you a credit note to use on another walk. Credit notes are valid for 12 months from issue.
If you need to cancel your place(s) on a walk
If you are unable to attend a walk for which you have booked a ticket/tickets we would kindly ask that you let us know as soon as possible, ideally 4 weeks before the scheduled date by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We limit the number of people on our walks to ensure the best experience for everyone involved. If you are able to give or sell your ticket to someone else then please let us know so that we can update the ticket details. If not please look at our future walks as we would be happy to transfer your ticket(s) to another walk.
If no other person can be found, or there are no future walks that are suitable we will issue you a credit note to use on another walk. Credit notes are valid for 12 months from issue.
